The IRATA Level 3 course is designed for rope access technicians who already hold an IRATA Level 2 certification, with at least one year of experience and 1,000 logged hours of work as Level 2 technicians. This training qualifies you to act as a supervisor for teams in rope access, perform complex rescues, and conduct risk assessments. Currently, the demand for IRATA Level 3 technicians is high both domestically and abroad, making this course an excellent professional opportunity.
Objetivo
The objective of the IRATA Level 3 course is to train participants in advanced rescue techniques, rope access management, and team supervision. Level 3 technicians will learn to implement safety procedures for working at height, conduct risk assessments, and coordinate teams during complex interventions. This course prepares participants to take on the role of safety supervisor and rope access project manager in any rope access environment.
Requisitos del curso
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have adequate physical fitness for work at heights.
- Hold a valid IRATA Level 2 card.
- Minimum of 1,000 logged hours of experience as a Level 2 technician, recorded and signed in the logbook.
- At least one year of experience at Level 2.
Duración del curso
- The IRATA Level 3 course has a total duration of 6 consecutive days: 5 days of intensive training and 1 day of evaluation with an independent examiner.
Re-certification is conducted in the same format, lasting a total of 6 consecutive days.

Upon completing the course, you will receive:
- Digital IRATA Certificate
- IRATA Card
- IRATA Logbook
The certification is valid for three years and can be renewed at any IRATA center worldwide, with international recognition to work across a wide variety of sectors.

- Structure and training of the IRATA system (TACS).
- Advanced regulation and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Development of a rescue plan.
- Theoretical exam covering Levels 2 and 3.

- Review and refinement of all Level 1 and Level 2 maneuvers.
- Supervision and review of protective equipment (PPE) as a team.
- Advanced rescue techniques, including:
- Rescue with double deviation and long fractions.
- Victim rescue with knot passing on both ropes.
- Rescue during rope changes and in structures, with a victim on short connection.
- Advanced “team rescue” type, utilizing victim movement maneuvers with crossed loads and zip line.
