Objetivo

The objective of the GWO BST Working at Heights training:

Equipping participants with the knowledge and hands-on practice to:

• Apply correct and safe techniques for working at height.

• Select and use fall protection systems, positioning hooks, and back-up devices.

• Manage risks associated with working at height in wind turbines.

• Perform basic rescue and evacuation procedures.

• Prevent suspension trauma and apply emergency response protocols.

Requisitos del curso

• Must be over 18 years old.
• Adequate physical fitness for the activity.
• No prior experience is required.

Duración del curso

• The GWO BST Working at Heights course lasts for 16 hours.
• Renewal is for 8 hours.

Certificación y Validez

Successful participants receive an official GWO Digital Certificate in Working at Heights, valid for 24 months worldwide.

• Certification is mandatory for wind sector jobs.

• Renewal can be completed at any audited GWO center, up to 3 months before expiry without penalty.

This makes the course an essential step for technicians looking to build or maintain a career in the wind industry.
