¿A quién está dirigido?

The GWO BST First Aid Training is aimed at:

Workers in the wind energy sector who operate in wind turbines and remote locations where immediate access to medical services may be limited.

This course is essential for:

• Wind turbine technicians and maintenance teams.

• Employees who requires solid training in first aid to act in emergency situations in the workplace.

• Companies in the wind industry that require compliance with Global Wind Organisation (GWO) standards.

Objetivo

The objective of the GWO BST First Aid Training

Equipping participants with the knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively to emergencies in the wind sector.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Conduct primary and secondary assessments of an injured person.

• Provide immediate first aid for life-threatening conditions.

• Apply Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques.

• Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) correctly.

• Manage emergencies such as choking, bleeding, shock, and trauma.

• Handle cold- and heat-related injuries, fractures, and dislocations.

• Provide effective initial care until professional medical help arrives.

This training is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of workers in wind turbine environments.

Requisitos del curso

• Must be over 18 years old.
• Adequate physical fitness for the activity.
• No prior experience is required.

Duración del curso

The initial GWO BST First Aid training lasts for 8 hours. Renewal of the course requires 4 hours of training.

Certificación y Validez

Upon completion, participants receive an official GWO Digital Certificate in First Aid, valid for 24 months.

• Certification is recognized worldwide in the wind energy industry.

• Renewal can be completed at any certified GWO training center, up to 3 months before expiry.
