This course is ideal for those seeking to strengthen their skills in safety at heights, risk prevention, and fall protection, ensuring compliance with European and national regulations (RD 2177/2004).

Whether you are a construction worker, a wind turbine technician, or part of a maintenance team, this training provides the essential knowledge and practical techniques to guarantee a safe working environment.

Objetivo

The main objective of this working at heights course is to prepare participants for:

• Correct use of fall protection equipment and PPE.

• Safe vertical and horizontal progression techniques.

• Installation of temporary lifelines and anchors.

• Basic rescue techniques and emergency response.

• Compliance with legislation and international standards on height safety.

This ensures participants not only know how to use their equipment, but also how to minimize risks and act in emergency situations.

Requisitos del curso

• Be over 18 years old.

• Be in good health and physical condition to perform activities at height.

• No previous experience required.

Duración del curso

The course lasts for 8 hours, conducted in a single day.

Certificación y Validez

Upon completion, participants receive a Working at Heights certification valid for 3 years.
The certification complies with European directives and Spanish legislation on fall risk prevention, recognized in industrial and construction sectors.

Contenido del curso

Teoría

• Occupational Risk Prevention Law (RD 2177/2004) and applicable regulations.
• Theoretical concepts of working at heights: safety chain, fall factor, impact forces.
• Types of PPE, inspection, and correct usage.
• Collective and individual protections.
• Introduction to anchor systems, permanent and temporary lifelines.
• Installation of temporary lifelines and free fall distance.
• Basic techniques for access and positioning at height.
• Evacuation devices.
• Emergency situations and response: P.A.S. (Protect, Alert, Save).
• Safe work and rescue procedures.
• Suspension trauma and rescue.

Práctica

• Use and inspection of various Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Movement in elevated areas.
• Securing using permanent and/or temporary horizontal lifelines.
• Safe vertical movement, use of harnesses, fall arresters, hooks, and retractables.
• Use of permanent and/or mobile anchor points.
• Basic knots.
• Rope protection.
• Installation and verification of different anchor points.
• Installation of temporary lifelines: vertical and horizontal.
• Load tests with a digital dynamometer.
• Emergency simulation: P.A.S.
• Partner rescue and evacuation at height.
