This course is designed for workers in the wind industry who operate in wind turbines, especially in remote environments where access to medical services may be limited. It is ideal for technicians, maintenance personnel, and any employee who requires solid training in first aid to act in emergency situations in the workplace.
Objetivo
The GWO BST First Aid course aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively respond to emergencies in wind turbine environments. Participants will learn first aid techniques, including primary and secondary assessments, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and management of critical situations such as choking, bleeding, and trauma. This training ensures technicians can provide effective initial care until professional medical assistance arrives, safeguarding the well-being of workers on-site.
Requisitos del curso
- Must be over 18 years old.
- Adequate physical fitness for the activity.
- No prior experience is required.
Duración del curso
The initial GWO First Aid course lasts for 8 hours. Renewal of the course requires 4 hours of training.
Certificación y Validez
The certificate for the GWO First Aid course is valid for 24 months. Renewal must be done at any GWO-certified center, and it can be completed up to 3 months before the expiration date without penalty.
