The IRATA Level 1 course is intended for those who wish to start in rope access or for professionals looking to enhance their skills in rope access and positioning. This training allows you to work anywhere in the world under the international IRATA standard, the only one recognized worldwide in rope access.
Objetivo
The objective of the IRATA Level 1 course is to train participants in the fundamental techniques of rope access and working at height, ensuring they can operate safely under supervision. Participants will learn to use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly, perform basic maneuvers, and carry out simple rescues in rope access situations. Upon completion, they will be prepared to perform rope access tasks according to IRATA standards in various industrial environments.
Requisitos del curso
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have adequate physical fitness for height activities.
- No prior experience in rope access is required.
Duración del curso
- The IRATA Level 1 course has a total duration of 6 consecutive days: 5 days of intensive training and 1 day of evaluation with an independent examiner.
Re-certification is conducted in the same format, lasting a total of 6 consecutive days.
Certificación y Validez
Upon completing the course, you will receive:
- IRATA Certificate
- IRATA Card
- IRATA Logbook
The certification is valid for three years and can be renewed at any IRATA center around the world. This certification is internationally recognized and allows you to work in multiple sectors.

- Structure of the IRATA training system (TACS).
- Regulations and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- National legislation in rope access.
- Safety and prevention at heights.
- Theoretical exam.
Práctica
- Use and inspection of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ascending and descending techniques (with descender and chest ascender type Croll).
- Rope change procedures and knot passing.
- Deviations, fractions, and protectors on vertical and horizontal structures.
- Rescue exercises, including the use of pulley systems and load hoisting maneuvers.
- Knot practice and rope installation techniques.
